1:8 GT cars are the biggest nitro powered onroad R/C cars. They are not the fastest, but their scale speed is very good and realistic. It is actually a good thing they don't go "too" fast, though with high-end option engines it is possible. On the summer we radared 80 km/h for the Ferrari with one on the track. The usual speed with the box-stock engine is around 65-70 km/h depending on gearing, which is well enough for racing together. These cars are simple in construction and very durable. They can take a lot of beating without breaking and that's good for the wallet, too. (To watch in high quality please follow this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpBArhyW5mM) |
